Akalanka Wijesundara
Internal Accountant

As AI develops in the future, its role in radiology will become more widespread and its use more important. Inputs from radiologists will help AI improve exponentially.

Number crunching may not be for everyone, but luckily for contextflow, Akalanka Wijesundara loves it, which makes him perfectly suited to be our Internal Accountant. Originally from Sri Lanka, Akalanka started his counting career early as Treasurer for the Applied Science branch of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. He then moved on to become a Junior Auditor and Senior Accountant at Ernst & Young, preparing financial statements and audit reports, evaluating organizational policies and working with senior management to help them gain insights into business trends and needs. Akalanka continued his career with EY, this time in Qatar, shifting his focus towards auditing and risk identification. He then moved to Vienna to be with family, eventually making his way to the contextflow family. Akalanka isn’t only excellent with numbers, however: he’s an avid cricket player, having been selected for the Sri Lankan under 15 national team.

People would be surprised to learn…that I am the youngest member of my family of eight children!

If I wasn’t working as an Internal Accountant, I would be…a cricket player.
