Senior Application Engineer

contextflow is an award-winning startup developing artificial intelligence-based software applications to support radiologists during clinical routine. Our team of deep learning and engineering experts use our own data flow framework for efficient deep learning development and benchmarking. Methods developed are aligned with data, annotation, clinical and IT requirements in mind and are deployed to hospital sites across Europe providing value in clinical routine to radiologists and to patients. We are an ISO 13485:2016 certified medical device company and are currently expanding our team providing the unique opportunity to join us and take over responsibilities in Customer Service & Support. You will have the chance to play a key role during deployment of medical device software products as well as in supporting our customers, working together with the company founders and learning while the company is expanding to international markets.

As a Senior Application Engineer at contextflow, you will support our customers in all technical aspects to maintain excellent customer relations and high customer satisfaction. You work closely together with Product Management and our DevOps and Software Development teams. Our innovative medical product strives to bring state-of-the-art deep learning into clinical radiology routine. As a member of the Customer Service & Support team, you will be responsible for planning and executing installations and upgrades, training end users, and supporting our existing customers. In addition you will assist in further optimizing our processes and internal systems as well as in keeping our technical documentation up to date.

As a Senior Application Engineer, you will

  • Be the main communication contact for our customers and partners in all technical aspects like deployment, service & support
  • Plan and execute installations/upgrades of customer systems, customize configurations and document your project work
  • Act as a Medical Device Advisor (Medizinprodukteberater) and train end users on our application software
  • Support our customers in resolving issues, answering questions and handling suggestions
  • Perform in-depth failure analysis, gather the necessary data and resolve issues to gain and maintain high customer satisfaction including documentation of your work in a ticket system
  • Ensure technical prerequisites like all-time reliable VPN connections to all customer on-prem systems
  • Closely collaborate with other internal teams, especially Product Management, DevOps, and Software Development
  • Assist in process optimization and in keeping technical documents up to date

What We Are Looking For

  • Demonstrated experience in working with customers, e.g. Application Engineer, Service Engineer, Support Engineer or similar
  • Fluency in English
  • Conversational and intercultural skills in technical calls and in-person meetings
  • Good knowledge in the fields of Linux, SQL, IT infrastructure, DICOM, radiology workflow
  • Structured and independent work style but still team-oriented in communications
  • High level of self-motivation, ambition and eagerness to grow in a dynamic organization
  • Willingness to travel as required
  • Drivers license class B desirable
  • Ability to work on different tasks in parallel
  • Work permit in EU
  • Strong belief in growing together as a team
  • Empathy for each other

Gross salary starting from
45,000€ annual, negotiable based on experience
