Chief Financial Officer
part-time (f/m)

contextflow is an award-winning startup developing artificial intelligence-based software applications to support radiologists during clinical routine. Our team of deep learning and engineering experts use our own data flow framework for efficient deep learning development and benchmarking. Our AI solutions are developed aligned with data, annotation, clinical, regulatory and IT requirements in mind and our products are integrated and deployed to hospital sites across Europe, providing value in clinical routine to radiologists and patients.

As CFO, you will lead financial planning, make contextflow’s finances continue to work under scaling, support fundraising, and help prepare the company for a potential exit.

Operational Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the processes for financial budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning
  • Deliver accurate financial information to the CEO, executive management team and investors in a timely manner
  • Improve our financial accounting, reporting and planning system to fulfill the requirements of auditors, government agencies and international investors
  • Prepare financial statements for audits and tax returns, maintain relationships with auditors, tax authorities and advisors
  • Handle cash management and make sure available funds are spent according to contextflow’s strategic and operational plans
  • Track and analyze financial results, and initiate corrective actions to minimize impact of variances
  • Monitor achievement of financial goals and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Implement and monitor risk management and internal control system to preserve company assets
  • Maintain relationships with the financial community (equity investors together with the CEO, banks and public sponsors)
  • Establish a risk management and internal control system in compliance with laws and regulations
  • Develop business plans and information memoranda for meetings and negotiations with investors
  • Arrange equity and debt investment rounds and negotiate legal agreements (in collaboration with CEO)

Strategic Responsibilities

  • Conduct cost calculations for pricing and investment decisions
  • Implement a strategic controlling tool for monitoring target markets incl. scenario analyses for strategic decision making
  • Pursue alternative sources of funding (debt and/or non-dilutive funding, in collaboration with CEO)
  • Develop fundraising strategy to finance operations, corporate growth and investments into new business areas
  • Support the CEO & CCO in negotiations with customers and healthcare insurances to achieve reimbursement
  • Elaborate upon potential exit scenarios and develop strategies, timelines and plans for execution

What We Are Looking For

  • Knowledge of relevant accounting sofware tools
  • Structured work style and high level of self-motivation
  • Fluency in English
  • Strong belief in growing together as a team
