We are searching for Lead Application Engineer
contextflow is an award-winning startup developing artificial intelligence-based software applications to support radiologists during clinical routine. Our team of deep learning and engineering experts use our own data flow framework for efficient deep learning development and benchmarking. Methods developed are aligned with data, annotation, clinical and IT requirements in mind and are deployed to hospital sites across Europe providing value in clinical routine to radiologists and patients.
As Lead Application Engineer, you will
Design a scalable setup and integration process from on-site technical preparation for the deployment of contextflow software to its integration with the customer’s local IT
Keep an eye on the deployment status at multiple customer sites, identify blockers and actuate progress regarding the technical integration of our solutions into clinical routine
Support the installation and maintenance of our software by providing in-depth information on the software architecture of contextflow products
Help our customers to find solutions for technical challenges by breaking down complex functionality into clearly understandable requirements
Work closely with our customer’s IT experts, gathering technical feedback from customers and presenting new requirements to our developers
Support collaborations by proposing customized applications of contextflow technology and by sharing our knowledge regarding data management and transfers.
Train radiologists to use contextflow products efficiently and safely
Lead the team of application engineers in the future

What We Are Looking For
Familiarity with technologies used in radiological practice (DICOM, PACS, RIS, FHIR, HL7)
Willingness to acquire detailed knowledge of our software architecture and deployment strategy
General understanding of IT systems like VM, VPN, UNIX networks, software deployment
Organizational skills to self-reliantly keep track of long term implementations with multiple customers
Structured work style and high level of self-motivation
Joy in presenting and breaking down technical details for a broader audience
Willingness to travel
Work permit in EU
Fluency in English
Strong belief in growing together as a team
Empathy for each other
Understanding of radiological workflow in clinical routine
Knowledge and/or work experience in the medical domain
German language skills
Gross salary starting from 36,000€ annually, negotiablebased on experience.
