We’ve received a lot of inquiries lately as to whether or not our software can support COVID-19 detection. Indeed radiology plays a vital role in the diagnostic process for this virus, and the majority of our work has been with lung CTs, which are now being used as part of the diagnostic process for suspected cases. contextflow SEARCH already supports COVID-19-related patterns, including ground glass, consolidation, reticulation and honeycombing. It should be clear, however, that from a clinical point of view detection of these patterns alone cannot be used for COVID-19 diagnosis.
To better serve the global health community, we are working daily with our partner hospitals, clinics and industry partners on how we can best provide additional value to radiologists. For COVID-19 we are now gradually enabling our triage and detection capabilities for research and scientific use only. Collecting COVID-19 DICOM data is a key part of the process, and if you are in possession of or have knowledge about such data, we would be grateful to hear from you.
